Hello my name is Alex Sloat, I am a senior at UAF studying psychology and sociology. I have recently submitted my applications for graduate school and am waiting to receive an invitation to fill out the second round of applications. I want to go to graduate school for occupational therapy and feel that this class will not only help me with the remainder of the application process but with coursework and research after admitted into a program. I have spent the summer volunteering in rehabilitation, geriatrics, and pediatrics and have noticed that many of the therapists I’ve worked with are constantly doing patient reports. I think that the skills learned in this class will not only help me in class but will also be a useful tool when starting my career as an OT.
